Latest local news, weather, high school sports in the Rio Grande Valley

As of Saturday, 73 people have been arrested on South Padre Island.

Out of that number, 43 Spring Breakers have been arrested for Public Intoxication.

Another common arrest in the past three days is Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ten people have been arrested for that charge so far.

Action 4 News is keeping track throughout the week of Spring Break to see how many arrests will be made in total.

Within four days of Spring Break 2012, 96 people had been arrested on the island.

Law Enforcement is continuing to heighten security throughout this holiday week.
