A college student wanted on sexual abuse charges from Kingsville is behind bars after being arrested on the TSTC campus in Harlingen.

Texas State Technical College police arrested Rosendo Rosales on campus Wednesday morning.

Rosales was wanted on an outstanding warrants from Kleberg County, some 70 miles north of the Rio Grande Valley.

Court records show that Rosales is facing an indictment for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Details about the case were not immediately available but Rosales remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail where he faces extradition to Kingsville.

College officials said Rosales was enrolled in the school's Architectural Design and Engineering Program.

The officials said Rosales now faces a disciplinary hearing following his arrest.
