Ringing in the New Year like polar bears. That’s how they did it at South Padre Island on Sunday. Crowds of daredevils took the plunge into the wwater. They came in all sorts of swim suits the same day a cold front hit the Valley. Temperatures in the water were in the 60’s. The ‘Polar Bear Dip’ happens all over the country on New Year’s Day.
