The Bottom drops out of our Forecast
RGV -- Whoa Nelly! It looks like change is charging south to The Valley and it should drop our temperatures significantly and quickly.
The leading edge of this temperature drop will be a fairly well defined cold front passing through the RGV just after midnight. 24 hour high temperatures will be right after midnight as the mercury falls to near the mid 40's by dawn and barely crawls back to the low 50's by Tuesday afternoon.
Winds will be from the north and aggressive making it feel more like 32 degrees around lunchtime.
Only a slight risk of rain with that cold front, the real chance for rain will slowly settle in late Tuesday and ramp up through Thursday. We are going to rely on a trough of low pressure at the surface just offshore and a wide swath of upper level moisture streaming in from Mexico working together to generate widespread showers through the end of the week.
