On October 13, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m., volunteers are needed to plant tree and shrub seedlings on 14 acres at the Garza-Cavazos tract of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge outside of Brownsville.
Jennifer Owen-White came on Action 4 Sunrise to talk more about this even for all those that want to help the environment.
Planting will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. or until all seedlings are planted. From 10:00 a.m. until noon, there will be educational exhibits for viewing and food will be served for volunteers.
Volunteers will need to bring a shovel and wear old clothes and shoes to help plant.
