Monday, March 18, 2013  Texas-Pan American men's basketball head coach Ryan Marks and women's basketball coach Denny Downing have both been released by UTPA, as the school will not renew their expiring contracts. Marks went 39-89 in 4 seasons at UTPA, increasing his win total each year, while Downing's record was 51-68 over the same time frame.

Tuesday, March 12, 2013  The Texas-Pan American men's basketball team left for their final Great West Conference tournament on Tuesday, but the Broncs packed for a longer stay than just this weekend, in hopes a postseason tourney might be in the offing.

Saturday, March 09, 2013  The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men’s basketball team blew out the Great West Conference regular season champion New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders 76-59 to clinch the No. 2 seed in the GWC Tournament on Saturday at the UTPA Fieldhouse.

Wednesday, December 05, 2012  The UTPA men's basketball team dropped their home opener to UT-Arlington on a night when Broncs guard Aaron Urbanus went for a game-high 18 points.

Friday, November 09, 2012  Former Harlingen South star and UTPA senior guard Bianca Torre's knee injury prematurely ended her season just a few points short of the Broncs' all-time scoring record. Now, 8 months later, the former Hawk is healthy and ready to take over 1st place in the record books.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012  Mission Veterans graduate Kassy Lopez, one of the Valley's top guards, signed to play at Hill Junior College in Hillsboro, with the hope of making a Division I program after a season or two there.
