School administrator and husband charged with beating kids

La Joya administrator and her husband have been charged with assaulting their two children.
Mission police confirmed Carlota Salinas and her husband, Javier, were both charged with assaulting their 10-year-old and 15-year-old daughters.
Mission police released few details Friday morning but, sources close to the case told Action 4 News the couple beat their children allegedly with a leather belt for approximately three hours on January 10th in their Mission home.
Corporal Manuel Casas told Action 4 News one child was beaten so bad, the child had welts from her hands to her arms all the way down to her legs.
Investigators learned about the case after a local school district in reported seeing two sister with bruising.
The children were quickly escorted to a local police department where Mission Police was called in to lead the investigation.
We're told Child Protective Services removed the children from the home.
Carlota, a supervisor to the principal at Clinton Elementary in La Joya, was charged with assault.
Her bond is set at $5,000.
Javier was charged with assault and injury to a child.
The children have been removed from the home.
