Three members of the disbanded drug task force the "Panama Unit" were back in McAllen's federal courthouse on Thursday morning.

Jonathan Treviño, Alexis Espinoza and Gerardo Duran all appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dorina Ramos at 11 a.m. Thursday.

A federal grand jury handed down a drug conspiracy indictment on January 9th against the three and Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Deputy Fabian Rodriguez.

The four are out on bond but Treviño, Espinoza and Duran were arraigned this morning.

The three pleaded "not guilty" to the charges and were all given future court dates.

Judge Ramos allowed Treviño, Espinoza and Duran to remain free on bond.

Treviño declined to comment while leaving the courthouse.

Rodriguez appeared for arraignment on Wednesday where he also pleaded not guilty.

Treviño is the son of Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño while Espinoza is the son of Hidalgo Police Chief Rudy Espinoza.
