Authorities are searching a canal for the weapon used in a Lopezville murder that investigators believed was fueled by gang rivalries.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies confirm that 32-year-old Pablo Torres, Jr. was the man killed in the early Sunday morning shooting.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Torres is a confirmed member of the Tri-City Bombers gang.
Deputies said the deadly shooting was the result of a rivalry between the Tri-City Bombers and Chicano gang.
Neighbors said Torres leaves behind a wife, three daughters and two sons.
Deputies are searching for the gun used to kill Torres in a canal east of I Road between Nolana Avenue and Minnesota Road.
Three men have been arrested in connection to the murder and are expected to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Monday.
