Thursday night football from Edinburg this week will feature a couple of the remaining unbeaten teams here in the Rio Grande Valley.
The 4-0 Donna Redskins will take on the 5-0 Edinburg North Cougars in a 30-5A showdown that will be streamed with LIVE VIDEO on our website www.valleycentral.com.
We'll also be streaming two other games:
Valley View at Mission Veterans
Weslaco East at PSJA
I’m feeling pretty lucky to be a part of the broadcast of this one which has been talked about for a few weeks now by fans on both sides of the field.
The Redskins appear to be the favorite here based upon the schedule they have played and the numbers that they have produced.
Edinburg North lost a bit of momentum coming into this game as they just edged by Edinburg 8-3 last week.
Donna, earlier this year, beat that same team 31-7.
Regardless of the outcome, this game appears to feature two of the three teams in this district that are locked into a play-off spot if they continue to play the way they have.
Lurking on the schedule for both of these teams is a road trip to another unbeaten team Sharyland.
