MCALLEN, TX -- David Diaz, a recent graduate of McAllen’s James “Nikki” Rowe High School signed a $68,000 scholarship to attend Lindenwood University of Belleville, Illinois on June 15. As part of the Warriors’ wrestling team, Diaz was 131-21 in his varsity career. He is a four-time regional qualifier and four-time state qualifier in wrestling. In 2012, he finished in the top eight in the state at 130 pounds. Lindenwood University is a four-year liberal arts institution which competes in NAIA. The team finished 10th in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Championships in March
