Action 4 Sports has an update to an high school football player injury reported last night.

Hanna Eagles running back Enrique "Kike" Saldaña was injured during a game with the Pace Vikings Thursday night.

Saldaña, the Rio Grande Valley's leading rusher, was knocked around really nasty in some goal line plays in the 1st quarter.

The Hanna running back left for the rest of the game in what was first diagnosed as a concussion.

But earlier today, doctors said it was not a concussion.

Sources tell Action 4 Sports that Saldaña had no symptoms of a concussion -- just a punch to the jaw.

Saldana is expected to play first round of the playoffs against Edinburg next week.
