IRVING, TEXAS (AP) -- Fans eager for a piece of Texas Stadium bid on lockers, flags, vehicles and even urinals in the soon-to-be-former home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The NFL team's new stadium in Arlington opens for the 2009 season.

The Dallas Morning News, in its online edition Monday, reported overall more than $245,000 was spent for memorabilia from hole-in-the-roof Texas Stadium in Irving.

Bidding started Nov. 17 and ended Saturday, with more than 470 items sold.

Auctioneer Dan Rosenthal with Schneider Industries Inc. said some stars, which line the field, sold for as much as $1,300.

An American flag hanging in the stadium went for $850. A Cowboys helmet golf cart sold for $12,500. The door to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders room sold for $5,050.

Winning bidders will get certificates of authenticity for the Cowboys items when the season ends.
