A mother in Harlingen reached out to Action 4 News after she said the man who robbed her daughter of her innocence is posting online searching for pen pals.
"He locked us in a little cottage and we weren't allowed to go outside," said the concerned mother.
"Lisa's" nightmare with a man she lived with and eventually had children with lasted 12 years.
While she endured physical and emotional abuse, she was not aware that another member of her family had also become a victim of Raul Coronado, Jr.
"I felt so sick to my stomach,” said Lisa. “After all the times I could have left him, after all the times I could have stopped it.”
Lisa's daughter, 14 at that time, had made an outcry saying her mom's common-law husband had been sexually assaulting her since she was 8-years-old.
The girl was pregnant and Lisa said she miscarried and Coronado buried the fetus in the backyard.
"I called police and they came over and searched the property and dug up the remains," Lisa said.
The DNA matched Coronado and he was eventually sentenced to several life terms, but he's still haunting Lisa and her family even from behind bars.
"I ended up seeing online that he's looking for a pen pal," said Lisa.
Right there on a sight called Surrogatesisters.com, Raul Coronado lists his prisoner ID number, mailing address to the prison in Huntsville and says he likes romantic dinners, trips to the valley, and is single and not married yet.
The post also states Coronado's "straight and considered handsome."
Lisa is sickened by it.
"What scared me was the photo request,” said Lisa. “This is a sex offender, what if it was your daughter that got on the website?"
As she works to piece her family together, she's now worried this man will gain access to another unsuspecting woman with children he will prey on since he has appealed his sentence and is claiming in the online post that he will be out of prison in 5 years.
"I just don't want anybody going through what I went through," said Lisa.
We asked the Texas Department of Criminal Justice about the issue and they say their inmates do not have access to the web and that this post, like many, are created by someone on the outside for the inmate.
They say they can frisk the mail that comes in, but unfortunately, they cannot police websites or what is posted about an inmate.
