A traffic stop ended with multiple criminal charges for a couple driving around with their 3-year-old child and 26 pounds of cocaine.

Brownsville police arrested 32-year-old Alfredo Reyes Jr. and 28-year-old Claudia Adriana Estrada early Monday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that a K-9 officer with the Special Investigations Unit pulled them over off FM 802 and Castellano Circle.

The officer allegedly saw their 3-year-old child unrestrained in their white Nissan Titan.

Officers found a red gym bag with 11 packages with 26.62 pounds of cocaine inside.

Police charged both Reyes and Estrada with child endangerment and felony possession of a controlled substance.

Both of them appeared before a BrownsvilleMunicipal Court judge on Tuesday morning where Reyes got $105,000 dollars in bonds while Estrada got $55,000 dollars in bonds.
