Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a man who was kidnapped at gunpoint from a mobile home north of Donna.

It all happened near the intersection of Canon Street and Joshua Road around 12:14 a.m. Wednesday.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Deputies reproted that 33-year-old Jose Luis Lopez was inside his black ford pickup truck at time.

Lopez was arguing with two men who fired a gun and then dragged him from his truck and placed him in a dark colored Astro Van.

Evidence recovered at the crime scene indicates that shots were fired, that somebody might have gotten struck, and drag marks to show that Lopez might have been dragged and placed in the van.

Lopez is an illegal alien with multiple deportations and a lengthy arrest record.

Anybody with information on the whereabouts of Lopez call Hidalgo County Crime Stoppers at (956) 668-TIPS.
