EDCOUCH, TX -- Edcouch-Elsa's football team was only able to have one practice on the new turf at Benny Layton Stadium before playing their home opener against Laredo Alexander, but the Yellowjackets looked as if they had been on the new surface for years, crusing to a 15-point win over the 5A Bulldogs.
