Magic Race Past Venom For First Home Win

 Wide Receiver Danny Young caught four touchdown passes and had 154 receiving yards to propel the Rio Grande Valley Magic to a 60-42 victory over the Amarillo Venom on Saturday night at the State Farm Arena.
HIDALGO, TX --
With the victory, the Magic improve to 3-2 on the season while Amarillo falls to 2-3.

The Magic got on the board in the first possession of the on a Billy Garza pass to Young from 33 yards out for a quick 6-0 lead. After an Amarillo turnover, the Magic capitalize it for another quick strike from Garza to Young this time from 42 yards out. After the point after was added the score was 13-0.

Amarillo got on the board late in the first quarter courtesy of a Tim O’Neil four yard run for a touchdown and the score would be 13-7. That is as close as Amarillo got on the evening.

The Magic would go on and score a couple of more times off Amarillo turnovers times before halftime making the score at 26-7. Amarillo would add a late strike making the halftime score 26-13.

Billy Garza ended the game by throwing 261 yards with five touchdown passes.
