Dunn Still Not Cleared To Play For Bears
Baylor guard LaceDarius Dunn is free to return to classes because his suspension from school was lifted at an on-campus hearing late Wednesday, a source close to the program told Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com.
WACO, TX --
An official announcement is forthcoming.
Dunn remains indefinitely suspended from the basketball team because of last week's felony charge stemming from a domestic dispute with the mother of his child. It's unclear when Baylor coach Scott Drew will lift that suspension or if Dunn will miss games. But Wednesday's development means the All-America candidate shouldn't become an academic casualty for the second semester, meaning Dunn will be allowed to play for the Bears during the Big 12 season as long as Drew allows him to play for the Bears during the Big 12 season, if not sooner.
