The McAllen Hooters and others across the state are opening their doors early for the South Africa-Mexico World Cup match on Friday morning.
The two teams are facing each other on the soccer field at 9 a.m. Friday.
Texas Wings, a franchise operator for the popular sports bar chain, owns 40 Hooters restaurants throughout Texas.
The company told Action 4 Sports that the McAllen location and the all their other locations across the Lone Star State will open their doors for World Cup fans starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The games are being hosted in South Africa where there is a considerable time zone difference from the United States.
The chain will also be opening early for the following games:
- June 18th - USA vs Slovenia
- June 22nd - Mexico vs Uraguay
- June 23rd - USA vs Algeria
All locations will be serving breakfast or the full Hooters menu for the occasion.
Under Texas state law, alcohol can be served starting at 7 a.m. any day of the week.
