Scola carries Rockets past Spurs

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Luis Scola's winning layup with 11.2 seconds left carried the Houston Rockets past the San Antonio Spurs, 87-85.

Ron Artest scored a game-high 24 as Houston won its fifth straight to reclaim the top spot in the NBA Southwest Division and the runner-up spot in the Western Conference, 9 1/2 games behind the Lakers and a half game ahead of the Spurs.

Tim Duncan scored 23 points for the Spurs.
