(AP) -- Stephen F. Austin is going to the NCAA tournament for the first time. Texas and Texas A&M are also in the 65-team field.
The Lumberjacks earned an automatic bid by winning the Southland Conference tournament championship Sunday. They will be the No. 14 seed in the South Regional, and play Syracuse in their first NCAA game Friday in Miami.
Texas is the No. 7 seed in the East, and will play Minnesota in its first-round game 6:10pm Thursday at Greensboro, N.C.
Texas A&M is the No. 9 seed in the West Regional and plays BYU 11:30am Thursday in Philadelphia.
