Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville has hired Troy's Neal Brown to be his offensive coordinator and keep the spread offense running for the Red Raiders.
LUBBOCK, TX (AP) --
The 29-year-old Brown spent the last four seasons with Troy, including the last two as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. He was the youngest offensive coordinator in major college football.

Last year, the Trojans ranked third in the nation in total offense (485.6 yards per game) and fourth in passing (335 ypg).

Tuberville replaced the fired Mike Leach last week and pledged to stick with an offense similar to the Air Raid that has been Texas Tech's calling card for the last decade.

Under Leach, Tech led the nation in passing six of the last eight years.
