$500,000 in cash seized during Brownsvile traffic stop

Two men are under investigation are authorities allegedly found $500,000 dollars in cash inside their mini-van.

It all happened during a traffic stop on off the 1200 block of U.S. Expressway 77/83 around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Brownsville police told Action 4 News that officers found the bundles wrapped in several bundles inside their red Dodge Caravan.

Both the driver and his male passenger denied that the cash was theirs.

The incident remains under investigation.
