A Harlingen family is breathing a sigh of relief tonight. After 24-hours--their 17-year-old daughter called home and told her parents she was fine and in Mexico.

The family told Action 4 News that the last time they heard from Daniella Diaz was when she went to the Valle Vista Mall.

They said she went to the mall to buy something but never came back home.

Daniella's car was found still parked at the mall.

Her mother, Dolma, told Action 4 News that Daniella called home around 7:30p.m. and told her mother she was in Mexico and is fine.

Dolma said she and her husband will go and pick up Daniella on Monday.

However, her mother did not know much about how or why Daniella ended up in Mexico.

Action 4 News will continue to follow this story and provide the latest information as it becomes available.
