HARLINGEN, TX -- Harlingen South head football coach Gilbert Leal will not be on the sidelines tonight when the Hawks host PSJA in a District 31-5A game. Leal was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and released from jail Thursday afternoon on $500 bond.

Harlingen CISD released the following statement Friday morning: "The district is conducting a thorough review of the incident involving Harlingen High School South Head Football Coach Gilbert Leal. Pending that review, Hawks Defensive Coordinator Jim Morton will assume Leal's responsibilities in tonight's game against PSJA."
