Are you ready for some football?
It's official: the NFL lockout is over! The 4 1/2 month work stoppage ended today after the NFL Players Association executive board and 32 team representatives approved the proposed bargaining agreement in a unanimous vote.
Owners overwhelmingly approved a proposal last week, but some unresolved issues still needed to be reviewed to satisfy players; the owners do not need to vote again.
Both sides worked through the weekend to ensure training camps would be able to start this week. Other than the Hall of Fame preseason game, everything will go as planned with the first exhibition games to be played August 11.
