Fugitive trio caught for Weslaco brass knuckles beating,stabbing

A trio of suspects are waiting to go before the judge after being arrested in connection to an aggravated assault involving a knife and brass knuckles.

According to Weslaco Police, two men and one woman went to the home of a 20-year-old acquaintance on March 2nd at about 3 p.m.

Investigators said 21-one year-old Esequiel “Zeke” Rodriguez and 18 year-old Christopher L. Brown used brass knuckles while 20 year-old Samantha Lee Villarreal used a knife to “jump” the victim.

The victim was hit several times with the brass knuckles and was stabbed in the back, side and abdomen during the assault.

The three suspects were arrested in McAllen on unrelated charges on Monday evening.

They are currently in Hildago County Jail but are expected to be arraigned in Weslaco early Wednesday afternoon.
