Several local agencies are working overtime during Spring Break to prevent drinking and driving.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is helping police departments stay in full patrol to keep drunk drivers off the streets.

During Spring Break 2012, DPS made over 1,000 DWI arrests.

Enhanced patrol began on Friday and will continue throughout the week. Texas Spring Break for many cities runs from March 11-15.

Drink. Drive. Go to jail.
