A Harlingen man was jailed after getting into a fight with his wife over money.
Jimmy Hernandez told Harlingen Police officers he gave his wife some money, and wanted her to pay him back.
Reports revealed that when she didn't, he grabbed her cell phone and broke it.
In retaliation, according to reports, the wife tossed a cell phone cover at his head, so he punched her in the ribs.
The woman, whose name was not released, was injured.
Hernandez did not get the money back, but he did get charged with assault family violence charges.
His bond was set at $2,5000.
