Body of missing Lyford woman found

The body of missing Lyford woman, Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, has been found.

The 41-yr-old had been missing for a week and a half.

Her body was found in a brushy area outside the city of Lyford just before 3pm east of Expressway 77.

Her sister, Norma Hernandez, confirms her father and half-brother discovered the remains while conducting a search on their own.

Norma said they "felt her presence."

Lyford Police, Fire Department, Border Patrol and Texas Rangers all participated in the search efforts.

Action 4 News is waiting to learn more from police on the circumstances surrounding her death.

Funeral arrangements have not been made.
