A 24-year-old man was killed in a rollover accident Saturday morning.

The accident happened on F.M. 1846 south of Rio Hondo at 2:15 a.m.

The Rio Hondo native, Christopher Matthew Berg struck a utility pole, causing his car to rollover.

Family told Action 4 News that Berg was driving home from the Medusa Lounge in Harlingen.

He was the only person in the car and was ejected from his seat when he struck the utility pole.

Investigators said speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The Berg family has set up an account at the Woodforest National Bank inside of the San Benito Walmart.

They are taking donations to help cover funeral expenses.

The account is under Micheal Stephen Berg.
