The threat of severe storms has diminished switching over to the threat from heavy rains.

This morning, a good line of thunderstorms and showers has developed along the leading edge of the cold front associated with that low pressure area.

These storms will move from the Upper Valley to the Lower Valley, or west to east, as the front progresses.

The primary threat with these storms will be heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

This will make for very slick roads and some possible ponding where heavier rains fall.

Rain chances diminish by the later morning as the line of storms moves offshore hours.

Behind the front, a drier, cooler air-mass filters in, making for partly cloudy afternoon.
