The driver of a blue Hyundai crashed into a downtown antique store on Sunday afternoon.

Harlingen officials responded to the corner of Commerce Street and Jackson Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

The owners of Jackson Street Antiques told Action 4 News they were running errands when they drove to their business and saw the car crash.

They said just two weeks ago, their store was broken into.

Officials believe that the elderly man driving the Hyundai may have had a stroke while he was behind the wheel.

He and his passenger inside the car were taken to a nearby hospital.

Their conditions remain unknown at this time.
