MCALLEN, TEXAS (AP) -- A federal magistrate has set a $75,000 bond for a South Texas deputy U.S. marshal accused of blowing the cover of an undercover drug agent to his father.

Federal prosecutors say the father is accused of being part of a drug trafficking organization.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Lucio Osbaldo Moya stood alone in a blue golf shirt and jeans Tuesday as a federal magistrate outlined the allegations against him and set terms for his bond.

The 29-year-old Rio Grande City man is charged with being an accessory after the fact and obstructing justice.

If convicted of the accessory charge, he could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
