Person of interest identified in San Benito teen's murder

Esteban Rodriguez // San Benito Police Department

Authorities have identified a person of interest in the fatal stabbing of a young San Benito man.

San Benito police told Action 4 News they are looking to question 22-year-old Esteban Rodriguez.

Investigators believe Rodriguez may know something about the stabbing death of 19-year-old Angel Perez.

Police said Perez died after being stabbed off Winchell and Rockefeller Streets early Monday morning.

Anyone with information about Rodriguez’s whereabouts is asked to call the San Benito Police Department (956) 399-3880.
