A teenager is behind bars after leading San Juan police on a chase that ended with his car catching on fire.

It all happened around 3:45 a.m. Monday.

San Juan police told Action 4 News that an officer saw a suspicious 15-year-old at a convenience store.

The teen ran and lead police on a chase that ended with the 15-year-old bailing out of the car.

Police said one of the car's tires blew and that the car caught on fire.

Dashcam video showed an officer tackled the teen while the 15-year-old tried to flee on foot.

It's not clear why the teen lead police on a chase but he is expected to face a judge on Monday afternoon.
