MERCEDES, TX -- After having five of their past six seasons come to a close at the hands of Calallen, Mercedes thought they'd flip the script by scheduling the Wildcats for their home opener in week zero. But the result was the same, as the 10th ranked team in the state ran away from the Tigers, 40-13.
