PHARR, TX -- Harlingen tennis player Cathy Beene, Edinburg football player Jack Wallace, Mission softball coach Iris Iglesias, football referee Ed Knetig, Santa Rosa football player George Schulgen, Brownsville Hanna golfer Mike Brisky and Edinburg football coach Pete Vela were inducted into the Rio Grande Valley Sports Hall of Fame.
