Three 9-team districts in 5A.
All Valley, no Corpus or Laredo schools in any 5A-4A districts.
Schools moving classifications:
Weslaco East up to 5A, La Joya Juarez-Lincoln up to 5A.
Mission down to 4A, Hidalgo down to 3A.
New schools playing varsity football:
Edinburg Vela-5A, Brownsville Veterans-5A, PSJA Southwest-4A, Monte Alto-1A Div. 1, Santa Maria-1A Div. 1
