Brownsville Hanna Falls In State Final

Down 1-0 to Coppell after 60 minutes, the Brownsville Hanna boys soccer team scored twice within a 3 minute span to take a lead in the 5A state championship game. But one late goal by Chris Madden of Coppell sent the match to overtimes, and then with :53 remaining in the 2nd OT, Madden struck again to send the Golden Eagles home one win short of their ultimate goal.

Valley View Boys Ousted By Del Valle At State Soccer Tournament

For 70 minutes, the Pharr Valley View Tigers looked like the best team in their 4A state semifinal matchup with El Paso Del Valle. But the last ten minutes belonged to the Conquistadores, who made their lone goal stand up for a win that eliminated the Tigers one game short of the finals.
