The Harlingen South Hawks took to the road tonight as they traveled to Sams Stadium in Brownsville for a show-down with Rivera. The Hawks defense scored the games first points and then took over from there as they shut out the Raiders in a 21-0 win.

David Cantu was reassigned after two years as head coach/athletic coordinator at Brownsville Rivera High School. Former BISD Athletic Director Tom Chavez will takeover at the school where he coached for 17 seasons. Chavez led the Raiders to four outright district championships in the late '90s-early '00s.
