For the 2nd week in a row, Edinburg North's defense came up huge in the playoffs, as they made the Cougars 14-point first half stand up for the victory on a night when Harlingen South had to play without their starting quarterback.

Harlingen South has been running through Brownsville teams like a knife through butter, the Hawks' shut out of Brownsville Rivera was not only the 4th straight game South opponents were held scoreless, it also secured their first postseason appearance since 2007.

The Harlingen South Hawks took to the road tonight as they traveled to Sams Stadium in Brownsville for a show-down with Rivera. The Hawks defense scored the games first points and then took over from there as they shut out the Raiders in a 21-0 win.
