Friday, December 21, 2012  McAllen Rowe High quarterback Javi Obregon received his state award – the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week – Friday, Dec. 21 at Rowe. Obregon was named the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week following Rowe’s 50-43 double overtime win over Weslaco East Nov. 9. It was the season’s last regular season game. The win capped a three-game win streak and lifted Rowe into the playoffs.

Tuesday, December 18, 2012  The Weslaco girls basketball team proves again that it's the team to beat in the Rio Grande Valley, outpacing easily their closest rival in District 31-5A.

Friday, November 16, 2012  The Mid-Valley classic in Weslaco opens up the girls basketball tournament season in the Valley, and the home-standing Pantherettes continued their winning ways by downing Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway for the title on their home floor.

Rio Grande Valley fans also recall that Royal coached many of the best football players to ever come from this area.
