Thursday, June 14, 2012  After winning a 5A UIL State Championship and earning a track and field scholarship to Cal - Berkeley, Harlingen hurdler Randy Bermea is hoping to run on the U.S. Junior National team this summer at the world championships in Barcelona, Spain.

Thursday, April 19, 2012  The Texas High School Coaches Association announced the rosters for the 2012 All-Star Football game at the Alamodome in San Antonio on July 31st, and Harlingen WR/DB Randy Bermea was the only representative from the Rio Grande Valley.

Saturday, February 18, 2012  The Valley's all-time fastest hurdler is heading to the nation's top public university, and maybe, in time, the Olympics.

Wednesday, February 15, 2012  Harlingen senior Randy Bermea signs to run track at the University of California at Berkeley. Bermea chose to run for the Golden Bears over Texas Tech and Ole Miss. His dream is to run for the United States at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
