Thursday, April 18, 2013  For 70 minutes, the Pharr Valley View Tigers looked like the best team in their 4A state semifinal matchup with El Paso Del Valle. But the last ten minutes belonged to the Conquistadores, who made their lone goal stand up for a win that eliminated the Tigers one game short of the finals.

Friday, November 02, 2012  With defensive coordinator Joe Garcia serving as interim coach, Edcouch-Elsa got past the distractions of the past week and won a crucial game at Pharr Valley View, clinching the Jackets a playoff berth while eliminating the Tigers.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012  Mercedes has won five straight games, including three in a row against District 32-4A opponents with wildly varying offensive styles. That trend continues as the Tigers go from facing Rio Grande City's spread to this week's ground-and-pound attack of Valley View.

Friday, October 05, 2012  When Mission Veterans jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead over Pharr Valley View, it appeared the Patriots were en route to a blowout victory. The Tigers rallied in the 2nd half, outscoring Veterans 17-7, but fell short as the Patriots evened their District 32-4A record at 1-1.

Friday, September 28, 2012  Both Mission and Valley View came into their 32-4A openers with identical 3-0 records, but it became very apparent the Eagles & Tigers were anything but identical, as Mission's defense dominated Valley View and made a case as district favorites.

Saturday, September 15, 2012  The Valley View Tigers welcomes their closest neighbors, the Hidalgo Pirates to Tiger Stadium, and the two teams put on a great show with Valley View staying on top and running their record to 3-0.

Thursday, September 13, 2012  While Pharr Valley View and Hidalgo high schools are separated by only 2.5 miles, and the two have had some heated football games in the past, the Tigers now look at their matchup with the Pirates as just another opportunity to prepare for District 32-4A action, and not as a heated rivalry.

Friday, May 25, 2012  The end of the school year means plenty of scholarship signings for Valley athletes, including four Brownsville Lopez soccer players, 3 Harlingen South soccer players as well as a Hawks baseball player, and two Valley View powerlifters.

Wednesday, May 16, 2012  Wiley College's second-year soccer programs will be absolutely stacked with local talent as the Wildcats sign over 20 Valley players to scholarships this spring.

Friday, May 11, 2012  When Wiley College signed three female soccer players from Pharr Valley View, it brought the total number of recruits from the Valley headed for the NAIA school in Marshall, Texas to 17.
