Monday, March 18, 2013  Texas-Pan American men's basketball head coach Ryan Marks and women's basketball coach Denny Downing have both been released by UTPA, as the school will not renew their expiring contracts. Marks went 39-89 in 4 seasons at UTPA, increasing his win total each year, while Downing's record was 51-68 over the same time frame.

Thursday, February 07, 2013  The Harlingen Cardinals 3-point specialist, Gilbert Reza III, is in an online contest with high school shooters from around the United States. If he gets enough votes on Facebook and advances to the finals of the bracket, he'll compete in a CBS-televised National 3-Point Shooting Contest at the NCAA Final Four in Atlanta.
