Saturday, April 13, 2013  After a scoreless 1st half against San Antonio Jay, the Hanna Eagles found their scoring touch just in time for a shutout victory, giving them not only the5A Region IV championship, but a ticket to the school's first Final Four appearance in 23 years.

Friday, April 12, 2013  It was Brownsville versus San Antonio on the 1st day of the 5A Region IV soccer tournament, and while Hanna advanced to the finals with a big win over MacArthur, Rivera was stymied by a stellar performance from the Jay keeper.

Thursday, April 11, 2013  Action 4 Sports first brought you the news a few weeks ago that McAllen Rowe lineman Adonis Cruz had made the THSCA state all-star team, this week, the complete rosters were unveiled, and Cruz will be joined by two other Valley all-stars at TCU in July: McAllen Memorial lineman Tim Ruiz and Edinburg forward Gabriel Rivas, who made the all-star basketball team.

Saturday, December 22, 2012  Many of the best wrestling teams in the Valley came to Sharyland high school in Mission for the District Dual Wrestling Championships, and when the dust and the brackets settled, it was McAllen Memorial's team standing tall above the fray.

Tuesday, October 23, 2012  McAllen Memorial needed a win over crosstown rival McAllen Rowe to keep playoff hopes alive in 31-5A, and the Mustangs scored 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to get that victory, earning themselves the Rio Grande Valley Chevy Dealers Team of the Week.

Friday, October 19, 2012  Tied at 21 with McAllen Memorial at the end of the third quarter, PSJA North put the screws to the Mustangs offense in the 4th, holding them scoreless on the way to a Raider victory.

Friday, October 12, 2012  Down 7 to start the 4th quarter, McAllen Memorial threw drive after offensive drive at crosstown rival McAllen Rowe, until the Mustangs finally broke through with the ten points they needed to squeak past the Warriors.

Friday, October 05, 2012  In the third quarter, PSJA Memorial took a one-point lead over McAllen Memorial, but then the Mustangs broke loose for 19 unanswered points, taking the win and gaining a winning record both overall and in District 31-5A.

Friday, September 28, 2012  The UTB men's soccer team was tied with University of the Southwest at halftime, but Victor Parreires' three goals in the 2nd half clinched a UTB win, while the women's team rolled 5-0.

Saturday, September 22, 2012  In a game many Panthers players say they had been looking forward to since their elimination by the Mustangs from the 2011 playoffs, Weslaco defeated McAllen Memorial at Bobby Lackey Stadium to start District 31-5A play 1-0.
