One week after the rest of District 30-5A started league play, Sharyland entered the fray with a shockingly easy win over a La Joya team that came into Rattler Stadium with a 1-0 record in district.

Sharyland opened the season with a win, then took a bye the next week. Then, while the other 8 teams in 30-5A opened their district schedules, the Rattlers hosted, and beat, non-district opponent Laredo Alexander. Now, finally, 2-0 Sharyland is ready to make their district debut against old foe La Joya.

The 2012 college softball season was a hectic one for La Joya's Navarro family. Mom & Dad had to keep up with not one, not two, but three daughters, all playing at three different Division I schools, an unheard of feat in NCAA circles.
