Port Isabel and Lyford squared off in Harlingen in regional volleyball action at the class 3 level. Lyford played tough in the match but it was Port Isabel holding the lead as they swept their way into the semi-finals with a 3-0 win.

In the bi-district round of the state volleyball playoffs, Brownsville Veterans staged an amazing comeback at Morris Middle School in McAllen to down the McHi Lady Bulldogs and claim the first volleyball playoff win in school history.
